Ilya Yashin and Oleg Orlov were awarded the title of honourable citizens of Paris.
"Courage in the face of the Putin regime's repression deserves recognition and support," said the deputy mayor of Paris. This decision was supported by all deputies of the Paris mayor's office. The title of honourable citizen of Paris is awarded annually to public figures and activists from different countries who lead "the fight for democracy, respect for human rights and freedom".
