The presentation of the project "Faces of Russian Resistance" took place at "Artdocfest" in Paris.

Portraits of Russian political prisoners were displayed in the Luminor cinema hall during a reading of a play by Mikhail Durnenkov about the case of director Evgenia Berkovich and playwright Svetlana Petriychuk.

The play’s producer, actress Maria Chuprinskaya from Teatr.doc, proposed combining texts and portraits of Russian political prisoners with readings of case materials, letters, and court videos.

The audience, including both French spectators and Russian émigrés from different waves, was immersed in the atmosphere of Russian reality.

​

Many recent émigrés, leaving the hall, remarked that they had already begun to forget, in free France, the feeling of absurdity that is an integral part of life for active citizens in Russia.

For a few more days, as part of Artdocfest, visitors to the Luminor cinema in Paris could view part of the "Faces of Russian Resistance" exhibition.
